The power of two is the crux of why coaching and counselling works for so many people. Providing a safe and encouraging place for you to look at where your life is now, where you want to be and making a plan on how to get there can be life changing. My approach is to listen to the biggest issues in your life and facilitate a plan together to overcome them through encouragement and insight.

Anxiety

Assisting you to identify what triggers an anxious response and recognise how this feels and work towards changing your behaviour in this moment. We may not have the will also work on getting back in touch with your relaxed state and incorporating this into your weekly routine so you can draw upon this when you need it, whether it be meditation, tuning in to nature, deep breathing, walking or running, everyone is different.

Depression

Working on ways to increase your energy and look for the positive in situations. I often say it’s a bit fake it before you make it but thinking of three good things that happened during the day when your head hits the pillow every night can help to focus on the positives in life. I also address negative thinking patterns that possibly drive behaviour and place limitations on what you can achieve in life.

Change in career direction and vocational counselling

Focusing on identifying what you liked and didn’t like about previous jobs, the training required to move into another vocation and what drives you in regards to values, and what you’re naturally good at. It’s about taking off the blinkers and looking at the possibilities. Sometimes it’s not as hard as you think to change careers.

Relationship counselling and divorce

Providing a safe space for a couple to remember what they like about each other, identify negative cycles  and unmet needs within their relationship and set goals focusing on how they would like their relationship to be. I work in an emotionally focused therapy (EFT) framework with couples.

Health coaching

This is very important to me because I think everyone needs a health and wellness toolkit they can draw on in good and bad times, to maintain optimum energy levels. I work with clients to incorporate movement into their week, gradually improve their nutrition to increase energy, and possibly lose some kilos, and take time to be still and check in with yourself.

Improving sleep and addressing insomnia

Working with clients to establish a consistent night time routine, have an activity they do when they wake up at night they can rely on to get them back to sleep (I’ve heard everything from listening to country music to having a cup of herbal tea, everyone is different). It’s also about identifying issues going on that are keeping you awake.

Women’s health and menopause

Establishing a health and wellness routine that will assist you to ride the hormonal rollercoaster that is menopause and listening to your concerns about this time in your life.

Coming to terms with losing a loved one and experiencing grief

Working with clients to come to terms with losing a loved one and navigating the transition into what life looks like without this special person.

Navigating a mid life crisis

Working with clients in their 40’s and 50’s who have worked hard all their lives and perhaps lost sight of their own needs by prioritising the family, finances, elderly parents. Helping to identify and prioritise what they like doing and what fills their cup to introduce some work life balance and look towards how they want to live the next 30 years of their lives.
